Our History

The wind, with its dynamic characteristics, serves as a fitting metaphor for our company’s development. It exhibits a strong will, transcends boundaries, and changes direction - much like our journey.

In 2010, we laid the foundation of the WP Group with the establishment of WP Offshore in Eemshaven, Netherlands. As a provider of maritime logistics, WP Offshore supported offshore wind farms in the region with personnel and materials. Two years later, we expanded our services to include IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) and founded WP Energy GmbH in Bremen. The ongoing search for skilled professionals in the emerging wind sector led to the establishment of WP Service Solutions GmbH in Bremen in 2013, which has since become a significant link between operators and specialists in the wind industry. In 2014, we founded the personnel service provider SIA Baltic DIA in Riga, Latvia.

Unlike the flexible nature of the wind, certifications are subject to strict country-specific requirements, which complicate cross-border operations. To address this challenge, we established the International Qualification & Training Center in Riga, Latvia, in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland in 2015. Today, the IQTC is the only training center in the Baltics offering a comprehensive training program in renewable energy. It is also certified as a training provider by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) and the International Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA International).

In 2019, we entered into a partnership with RENOLIT SE, a recognized expert in plastic films for over 70 years. After successful research and testing, we developed a high-performance film with CX certification for the wind energy sector, which we now market - the RENOLIT CP ADVANCED. This film lays the groundwork for our future innovations, always aiming to provide our customers with the best products and services.
